About ALERJ
The Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio de Janeiro – ALERJ is the official representative body of the people of Rio de Janeiro, responsible for legislating and overseeing matters in the interest of the state’s population. Seeking to modernize its processes and strengthen institutional transparency, ALERJ relied on Visual’s expertise to implement innovative solutions capable of meeting the complex and growing demands of the state legislature with efficiency and security.
The challenge
The Rio de Janeiro Legislative Assembly needed an up-to-date and efficient voting system that could bring greater transparency to its plenary and committee meetings, while also modernizing the institution as a whole.

We implemented the Visual Legis platform at the Rio de Janeiro Legislative Assembly, bringing greater organization to plenary sessions through user identification for attendance registration and biometric voting — ensuring more transparency and control over legislators’ participation.
