About the Presidência da República

The Presidência da República is the institution responsible for leading the Federal Executive Branch, governing the country and administering public interests in accordance with the Federal Constitution. At Palácio do Planalto, the official workplace of Brazil’s Presidency, strategic units operate such as the Presidential Office (Gabinete Presidencial), the Casa Civil, the Secretaria-Geral, and the Gabinete de Segurança Institucional, among other areas essential to the functioning of government.

The challenge

With an ongoing partnership with Visual since 2012, the Presidência da República identified, in 2016, the need to modernize its monitoring structure to meet the demand for viewing and tracking warehouse (almoxarifado) cameras and the site’s data network. The challenge was to deploy a solution capable of expanding the visibility of critical information, with reliable operation and strict adherence to a rigorous security policy—compatible with one of the most sensitive environments in Brazil’s federal public administration.

Overcoming the challenge

Solution applied:

To meet the technical specifications and security requirements of the procurement process, Visual deployed its Situation Room solution, integrating infrastructure and display resources designed for real-time monitoring. As part of the solution, a Video Wall resource was implemented, with technology upgrades and a dedicated control system.

The deployment covered areas of the Casa Militar at Palácio do Planalto, with installed structures totaling 6 46” displays and 10 55” displays, in addition to the Video Wall control system—enabling management and expanded display of images and information in large formats.
